Have your cake and eat it too! My YUM muffin search

Have your cake and eat it too! My YUM muffin search

Who doesn't love muffins! Yet who doesn't necessarily feel great when they eat one.. or more

Today I reached out to our followers to ask for some advice and feedback on what other mums use as their 'go-to' recipes that not only taste good, but are good for you.

Don't get me wrong- I think there is always a time and place for yummy treats- BUT, I think there isn't a mum out there who doesn't want to have more energy in their day for their kids and families.... and this leads me back to the importance of nutrition

After my third little cherub was born, I was completely blind sided- being hit hard with post natal depression. There have been so many things I have worked through since, and one of the key things I have identified is how important eating well and nutrition is for me and a healthy mind. Feeling well in my body is such an important factor, which I can see goes hand in hand with my mood and energy through the day.

Thoughts about nutrition is also a compounded by the fact that, as mums, our minds not only need to think about ourselves and our bodies, but also those of our children.

So! I am on a search for an amazing healthy muffin recipe (because I do love a muffin!) as part of our #wellnesswednesday. Not one that my kids will turn their nose up at and not eat- but one that stands the test of kids 'sugared' taste buds, and that they will eat.

Feedback from my Instagram post has given me some great tips! Now just to get into them and make some of the recipes and feed back to you all!
